Time is an enemy

Ticking endless seconds, watch life pass you by,
more or less I reckon, sooner or later you'll die,
the changing of the clock, the hours dissapearing,
never going to stop, that tick that you're hearing,
but don't fear death, its only the beggining,
so breathe in polluted breath, and just keep on winning,
Can you hear the time? it will drive you insane,
Like a murmering whine, the endless ticking in your brain,
The passing of life, years flowing by so fast,
Balancing on the knife, too bad it will never last,
Spend time very wisely, don't waste it doing worthless things,
And do them very precisely, happiness then it brings,
Stop this madness, It's driving me crazy,
Goodness now badness, because time is an enemy.

56 years, times 360 days, times ...whatever the math is ..to get to the seconds I've been alive..tic, tic, tic. I don't even want to know. Thanks for the Reminder....Great poem. |

I would have liked it if you had finished with 'your' instead of 'this' in 'stop this madness', as it doesn't sound right, and sort of kicks the sense out of the finale.
Another courageous assault on the ramparts of Double Rhyme, NightsChild - you continue to impress me, if not with your grammar, then certainly with your valour. |
