Friends Are Like Gold

Friends are very much like gold,
They stay with you from young to old,
They help you walk across the wire,
Their friendship time never expires.
I can count my friends on one hand,
Who have followed me over the land,
They have stayed through thick & thin,
Not judged, but looked deep within.
My friends I hold to me very dear,
Although they aren’t always near,
But I know that if I ever need my friends,
To me their ears & shoulders they’ll lend.
True friends are very hard to find,
I always keep them in my mind,
They have shown me that they really care,
Over the years we’ve had so much to share.
I treasure my friends they are in my heart,
I know that we will never part,
There’s a lot of history between us all,
They have helped me rise from my falls.
My words from deep inside,
Without friends my soul would have died,
I love you all very dearly,
You have all helped me see very clearly.

I really love this one pixie. Its all so true,
True friends are very hard to find. great job on writing this one. And thanks for sharing this beautifully written poem about friendship. You right I'll agree 500% - Real friends are almost impossible to find.....

A very sweet write.
A wise man told me once,
at the end of ones days, looking back over the life, one could count the number of true friends on one hand......and perhaps have fingers left over.....
