"I'm sick of you,
Mr. Devil-May-Care".
Says Your Little Girl Blue,
With her rose-y pink hair.
You're burning up my mind,
And it's driving me insane.
I'm so tired of being confined,
I'm drowning in your pain.
I've grown so weary of waiting for you,
Mr. Devil-May-Care.
Don't want to be Your Little Girl Blue,
With my shining, empty stare.
I'm so tired of being awake,
Just to see you smile.
One more night and I may break,
But I'll make it worth your while.
For as long as you are in delight,
I have a reason to stay.
If I can see you smile tonight,
Then I'll be on my way.
So smile for me, Mr. Devil-May-Care,
Make it happy, and true.
Make it one to hide your despair,
From me, Your Little Girl Blue.

you have captured the beauty of anguish and love, well done, it is only in anguish that we learn to love what our hearts really want. |
