A Fix

A cloak is all that remains
of the misery long ago.
The body within sustains
the relationship I use to sew.
The cloak hidden beneath the floor
The love I used to know
Speaks of hidden love and forgotten lore
But I just want a fix
A temporary fix
A latent of the past
Something that won't go
Something that will come fast
There is a fix
It's deep within my sorrow
It's apparent in my mind
There is no tomorrow
This fix I found
Is a permanant one at that
It's about love and loss
And a cut beneath the hat
This fix I found
Is at the end of a blade
It's not about spilt blood
But the love that I have paid

the strings of long ago, and the sharp two sided blade cut deep and both ways.
Very nicely said, thank you for sharing. |

Many times 'a blade' has become 'a fix' for love that has destroyed a heart. Love can conquer in so many ways. Knowing love brings pleasure, betrayed by love inflicts pain...thus a reason for 'a quick fix from a blade.' |
