I wish to go back home to you
And feel your arms around me
Back to the life that I once knew
And peace that never found me
I long to walk those paths again
Where together we tread before
To run down the hill and around the bend
Where we walked beside the shore
I need to see your eyes once more
And catch your falling tears
To bear the burden I once bore
And breathe you through the years
I long to depart though I haven’t yet
Ne’er shall I cease these cries
As Fate’s cruel joke we never met
And I know not where home lies
