Ashes and debris
have been cleared,
leaving a hole
in the skyline,
a hole
in the ground
and a hole
in our hearts
We can rebuild
buildings
and erect memorials
for those that were lost,
but still,
there are holes
that can never
be filled.

As much as they destroyed, they could not destroy the strength and resolve of the American people. That will never be taken away. We get stronger when threatened. We always have and always shall.
