As the world goes Wrong

I sit with head in hands
Peering through fingers at a world gone wrong
Like a child told not to look
Staring at images that dont belong
Though the storm clouds move fast
There’s no sign of blue sky to break the grey
And still I sit here watching
Unable to close eyes and turn away
Television reports
More bad news of hate, rape, killing and war
New deseases without cure
I sit wondering what I’m watching for
My head is in a spin
Listening to world leaders, politics
Even religous leaders
Calling for holy wars. It makes me sick.

Very strong poem, and the subject is an excellent one, so much on the news goes into strife, it makes watching tv very crappy indeed.
Awesome one.

It is the truth and so very sad, mother against father, leaving the children to cry and never to know the reasons why.
Nice to have a haven like this, where it seems simular souls gather from around the world, to share of themselves.
Thank you for sharing this. |
