FADING TO BLACK

Contributed by alyssakoren_03 on Friday, 10th September 2004 @ 08:44:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Sometimes I feel so empty, but at the same time I feel so free
So many confussing feelings don't know where they're pionting me
I turn this way you turn that
Now you don't understand me? What the hell is that?
First you love me now you don't care?
How could you do this to me? Its just not fair!
I gave you my heart, you ripped me apart!
You told me you trusted me you told me you cared
Don't even try to apoligize! O don't you dare!
I think I've heard it enough, why must you make this so ruff?
You said i was the only one! Your very own rising sun!
Then who were they? The ones you thought I did not see!
I found out and you got on your knees, begging and pleadng with me!
I thought you were what I wanted, I thought you were what I would need
You gave me something wonderful, then tore it away from me!
They think I don't know because I'm only 13, but I've seen more then those older then me!
Do you know what it's liek to be physically used? Emtionally abused?
I've been ripped apart. put back together again the same cycle never ends.
That's why I trusted in you, and you made me look like a fool
Some many times I tried to get rid of you, but i was magnitized by somthing hidden in your eyes.
Drawing me back while i was pushing you away!
You turned your back, I know your heart is full of black!
I tried to listen i tried to talk, but you would turn in walk.
O how much it hurt, o how much pain, but now I'm done with your foolish games
I have tried so hard to be happy, but I feel ashamed
Maybe I did something wrong
Maybe it was my fault all alone......

Very beautifully written, so emotional, and overflowing sadness, but Why should you feel that it was your fault? it wasnt you that went the others, it wasnt you that broke the trust, no what you are going through is hell on earth, and being 13 means squat, everyone goes through what you are going through, just on the their own levels of pain.....
In the end its still the same, you trusted and loved someone and they walked over your feelings and crushed them into dirt....thats is wrong.
You should not believe it is your fault, when all you did is love someone that you thought loved you back.

Take care always and I hope in itme you will find the love you seek, and see the beauty hidden within such a feeling again.

Wow...that was really good. I also know exactly how you feel, I've felt that way for three months. This was a very good write, emotion overflowed with every word...and the rhyming must have been hard...Well overall, one of the best I have read.

I used to feel this way....still do sometimes. I am 16 now....but when I was 13 I mat a guy who seemed like he made all my dreams come true. He was18......took care of me....made me feel special....but at the same time he was getting my high on drugs and using me to help him in all his "scams". I was just another piece of ass......but I was too young and too nieve to understand. Although you're only 13..... I know, you know what you're talking about because I've been where you are too. You're talented and this was such a powerful write coming from such a young but mature mind.
ALINA
Keep up the good poems.

Dearest Alyssa. I loved this poem.
This was very good if I could I would
give you a 10 for this poem. I would
only give you a 5 because it doesn't
go that high. I wish you the very best.
It doesn't even matter if you're only 13
age doesn't mean nothing.

What really struck me about this one is its honesty. This is wholehearted. You've said all that was on your heart. And with vividness, I might add.

How can it be your fault that there are so many liars in this world? It is the nature of love to trust, and it cannot be fully love if you don't give your whole heart. It places us in an incredibly vulnerable position. What hope have we? Only wisdom, I believe. And time is needed for wisdom to come. It is always best to come at romance at a later age. I know that's not what you (or I) want to hear, and youth feels broken without it, but sometimes we can only really get a thing when we have outgrown the dependence on it. My advice, observe, learn, watch and wait. And keep strong. There is joy to be found even in loneliness.

Sorry for that didactic ramble. Take good care.

Andrew
