Once More

Topic: LovePoetry

Did you notice my hand reaching out for your love
Did you notice my heart aching to be next to yours
Is it because we are no longer together and now are far apart
That I can't be close to you in the stillness of your heart

Was it something I said or somewhere I didnt go
Or something I didnt do because now I'll probably never know
Like a bird you've flown away from me with your pretty wings
I'll always remember to never forget all the simple things

Before you opened my eyes so I could see the beauty
But now they're closed from the fear and the reality
Can't seem to hold on now because you're slipping away
It's just as before I can't ever feel your love for another day

It was my cruel fate to find my heart only to lose it again
I said it once before that maybe you'll be missing me then
You said things between us would change all for the better
But right now I can't even dream of us being together

So I ask you to take my hand and give me another life
I'm asking you to step out of your safety and to make things right
Just one more chance to work things out and be as they should be
Just one more chance to show that you'll never stop loving me. -eL
