Walking Into The Light

I am now walking into the light,
Holding on to angles wings so tight,
Praying that I never lose again my way,
Wanting, no needing this happiness to stay.
Please angels, please guide me through,
This is the only thing I ask of you,
For too long have I lay in the shadows,
Staring longingly through life’s windows.
In the light is where I truly belong,
Forever sing me to sleep with your song,
Ease my pain, free my broken heart,
This is how it should have been from the start.
The brilliant ,white light blinds me,
But what a feeling it is to be finally free,
My soul is allowed to feel alive,
No longer will it be so deprived.
Life is no longer passing me by,
For many years have I felt the need to cry,
Tears that were lonely & sobbing,
As I felt my beating heart painfully throbbing.
I am slowly falling to my already scarred knees,
Begging the angles , asking them please,
Show me the way that I need to go,
This is something I am now strong enough to know.
