My Wish To Be Free

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 10th September 2004 @ 12:20:50 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Babes I do try my best to explain,
To you my rambling must seem insane,
You come from another world,
I just feel like the weird, alien girl.

It feels like I am little Miss understood,
The way that I think I know is not good,
Negativity & self doubt surround me,
All I want to do is to feel free.

To be free of my fears is for what I wish,
I don’t want depression to be my only dish,
You & I should be so happy & full of joy,
Sometimes I feel like the devils toy.

I want for you to feel that you are loved,
I know that I tend to push & shove,
But I get so scared & don’t want to be hurt,
So I hide away under an angry shirt.

Over the 2 years things have been like a war,
So much has beaten down our door,
But we still stand strong regardless of the struggles,
We will make sense out all of these muddles.

I no longer want to feel all alone,
Need to rebuild the calcium in my bones,
My strength is slowly but surely returning,
Your love is easing my terrible burning.

I really like this. I think it would make a good song. It's deep and has good rhthym.

Great post, Krissy. You will be free one day and life will be bright and full of love.

this was as always, a great and emotional write... I especially like the last line, it finishes the piece so well. Keep up the good work.
