Contract of Suicide

Contributed by Twinky on Thursday, 7th November 2002 @ 06:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

By my own hand I'll soon die,
this is my contract of suicide.
Blood seeps through and drips to the floor.
It wont be long, for I have opened the door.
It hurts a bit but I'll try to be brave,
I wont let people know that death wasnt what i craved.
I didnt cut deep enough and I dont get to die,
Im not sure if it matters, but I still wonder why?
Should I try to cut again, or maybe try something new??
A gun of pills could make my death wish come true.
I SIT STILL THINKING ABOUT ALL THE BAD THINGS THAT KEEP HAPPENING.....
Suddenly I grab the knife, I cut deep, and seconds later I realize what I have done.
Today I signed my suicide contract with my own blood!!

dude dont kill yourself, seriously. but if you do, try and go out with some class. Cutting is so passe. try a bungee jump/hanging, or jumping off the ski lift and rolling to death, or eat yourself to death. At least then it would taste good. but come on, there ARE things worth dieing for. But emotional stress is not one of them. Try freedom, or the right to vote or sompthin. sheesh.

This poem is very cliche. It's sloppy like you rushed through it, maybe it stemmed from your silly motive. I've had absolutely awful teachers in my past but they could never make me more than frustrated. Why would you take that as far as to kill yourself? If you were really serious the cuts would be deep enough to die. This was just a cry for help and you'll get over it.

Count your blessings, and really listen to your heart before you pick up the pen.

ok well first of all i have a past history of suicidal behavior, i have been admitted 4 times for either slashing my wrists or trying to O.D. on pills to the hospital and my mom has tried to have me committed i wrote this poem because i was really upset at a teachers words, i cant help it if this is what came out this is just the way i was feeling, as i have already said though i wasnt writinthis saying that i was gonna try to kill myself again i was just expressing myself the best way i know how, all my poetry except one poem written for my mother is like this i mean i have to do something te vent cuz i have realized that i dont want to die and well it isnt easy for me to speak to people so i write down how i feel and almost everytime i feel the need to write it is because i am in a mood like this!!!!!

Wonderful poem. I feel all the pain in your poem. I've signed my own contract many times before, even though I've cover them really well. Just remember we are all angel bright and beautiful. Your words are you power to show people your beauty as well as your pain keep writing and I will keep reading. I truly love your work. My heart would break If you did say goodbye forever. I'm hear if you need to talk. GOOSE
