SLAUGHTER IN IRAQ: DOES ANYONE CARE?

Contributed by steeleyes on Friday, 10th September 2004 @ 09:24:32 AM in AEST
Topic: political

'At least 27 civilians were reported killed and 70 wounded, including babies and children, as US warplanes bombed Iraqi cities yesterday for the third successive day. Missiles were fired at a building suspected of housing associates of Jordanian-born terror leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in the Sunni Muslim stronghold of Fallujah. At least nine people died, including two children. the US military said the raids targeted at militants in Fallujah and Tal Afar, were intended to bring the cities under control of the interim government.'

The Metro – 10 September 2004

Does anyone really care anymore?

Care about the lie that the US high command seek to avoid ‘collateral damage’?

Care that kids and babies are dying as long as they are OTHER people's kids and babies?

Care that 'liberators' are being made by their leaders to act instead as butchers?

Care that Iraq has turned into a killing field?

Care that not a single weapon of mass destruction worthy of the name has been found?

Care that the reputation of America is now that of a brutal and deceitful nation run by a liar?

Care that Iraq will almost certainly become an even MORE dangerous state in the future than it EVER was in the past?

Care that Iraq is now a recruiting and training ground beyond Osama bin Laden’s wildest dreams?

Care that Iraq will almost certainly become what Osama bin Laden wished for it, to be an extreme and fundamentalist Islamic nation?

Care that Bush, Cheney, Powell, Rice, Wolfowitz, Blair and the rest have been shown to be incompetent at best and outright liars at worst?

Care that twenty thousand Iraqi civilians Men, Women, Children, Babies, Grandmothers and Grandfathers, Brothers and Sisters, were torn into bloody fragments by Americans in the name of Freedom all because of Lies?

I care about the children that just died in Russia...being held captive by an Arab group. I care that they were babies and did nothing..Do you?

excellent poem my friend very true and straightforward. You should post this at wise men in the political section. That would create a ruckus bigger than the one I just caused lol.
