Happily illiterate

Contributed by x_midnight_x on Friday, 10th September 2004 @ 08:10:46 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I've posted poetry.
Wrote down things inside of me..
so they might be free,
call it insanity...
I dont care about my spelling
i can only be me..write of my telling
And hope to connect,
no longer a reject.
Leave the words for the world,
let them be used and hurled..
By all classes of humanity,
from poor to good mind faculty

Wise words enveloped in a nice poem! Words are the people's and not the other way round. When people start picking on other people's spelling, or about rhyme or rhytms that would not be right, things really start to itch with me. Go and bother somebody else, but please stop annoying people who are occupied with poetry, is what I would like to yell at turds like that.

Hugs,
Hur

I'll sometimes merit a poem on its spelling or lack thereof, but I've ceased mentioning spelling (unless its absolutely atrocious) in comments regarding the salient points you make.
As for rhythm and rhymes, where I find the time, I'll point out any lack and then suggest alternatives - its why we're allowed to comment.

Good write - thanks for sharing it.
