she hides beneath willows

Contributed by rain on Thursday, 9th September 2004 @ 11:42:41 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

nightmares to most are of things that will never happen
tears to most are a common exspression of feelings
memorys to most people actually belong to them
but for the child beneath the willows things are not like most

nightmares are of things that once happened
things she has almost forgotten
that come back while she sleeps
and tortures her slumber.

tears are unheard of they show weakness
a weakness that can not be aloud
to cry is to be punished by hands
so silently she crys and always she hides

memorys are lost lost to her
they are the lost pieces to the puzzle
the puzzle of her life and they are used
against her to haunt her in her sleep

and so she wakes in sweats of terror
late at night from the nightmares caused
by the memories she can almost remember
and so she cries silently and hides always
this child beneath the willows
