so wrapped up in thier own little world
so wrapped up cant see others needs
so wrapped up that they done see the world pass
so wrapped up that they forget who i am
what didnt i do right was i wrong
i preached compassion and understanding
i preached love and tolerance of all
i preached patience of our loved ones
i preached a forgiving nature
what didnt i do right was i wrong
i thought it was understood everyone needs
i thought you knew not to shut them out
i thought you wouldnt forget how to feel
i thought you could expend your horizons
what didnt i do right was i wrong
people need to feel anothers compassion
people need to have love include them
people need to feel they are important
people need to be understood all the time
what didnt i do right was i wrong

very good write. the repetition almost got to the point of annoying, but you had some great concepts that distracted me into thinking.
think of it like this. anyone can preach, but can anyone stand behind what they say? if you always do the right thing, then you will never regret it. if you did something wrong in the past, dont worry about that. worry about the wrongs you could make now. |
