how can I?

Contributed by Dragontear27 on Wednesday, 8th September 2004 @ 10:45:36 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I've tried being myself for my own sake
but everytime I do it seems like a mistake
so I turn around and start acting different
but once i do that i start to resent
that being me isn't good enough
and trying to be somone else is tough
so who do you want me to be?
the person from your fantasy?
I cant do that because im myself
so how can I be that somone else
everyone wants more than I offer
but how can i do that without getting softer
and bending myself to their will
my life is always heading down hill
so I guess this is the way things stay
I give up so bend me in whatever way

Ouch. I know that feeling. Every feeling in it. Don't ever change yourself for anybody. Don't give up. Great write, I do like the last line even though I don't agree with it. lol.
