Merry
Merry
Is the sound
The sound of eternal laughter
Happy is grace
Peaceful by chance?
Luck?
Or systematic habit?
Running rabid in a field of leisure
A jubilant delight
Simply happy
Morbidly complacent
In a world permeated by joy’s trite
Effortlessly fantasy
Not necessarily fiction
The feeling so rarely expressed (if at all)
is the artful-
Oh cherished essence of glee!
