Tonight I felt a little down
The tightness in my throat
People that do not understand
Take your time to gloat

Medication had hold of me
But now I’m cutting down
Do I feel sane enough
To even walk about town

Daughters by my side
Telling me to chill
But I am the mother
Hold on to them still

Sometimes I get panicky
I have to take control
Now I am in mummy’s mode
Kisses do console

I’m trying to feel free
Omitting all chores
But I know deep on down
I’m holding all the scores
