Come to Me Dreamer

Contributed by luinil on Wednesday, 8th September 2004 @ 11:10:34 AM in AEST
Topic: insomniac

Come to me dreamer,
Come in the dawn
Show me your fire
And turn the sky on
Rouse up delusion
Break peaceful trance
Sing out to trees
And make the green dance

Come to me dreamer,
Come in the day
Soak gazes with sunlight
Breathe wind and give sway
Release hidden course
Show the path he’ll take
Guide here the wanderer
And allay my soul’s ache

Come to me dreamer,
Come in the twilight
Reward my tranquility
Ere I suffer night
Calm the wood’s song
Till treading draws near
Bleed me a river
Till water falls clear

Come to me dreamer
Come now in the dark
Douse somber stars
No mirth now to hark
Wait not for morning
Nor hope’s warm embrace
Sleep now never waking
Never touching your face

Love it.
I know insomnia intimately - have written much in it's influence.
