Somebody hide me
Take me to the place I remember, dear
It's everything I ever wanted
And it's everything I could have ever feared
Been down to the bottom
And I let the bottle float right on
I threw the ash right in your face
But you were already gone
And then I searched for the smile
After I had run and started to hide
It's like everything crashed around me
And it felt like everything in me had died
But, the only casualty from this passion
And the warmth that I could never seem to share again
The casualty surrounded me
It seemed it was the end
But I bounced back from the aftermath
And I erased all the hate you used to show
You waste your time with deceitful doubts
And I make my time the only way I know
With a smile on my face
And those beautiful songs all in my ear
I could walk the Earth never to see it all again
Taking each step with confidence, drowning all the fear
And it seems that the days will last forever
And with my feet standing on this solid ground
I am ready for the storming
With these songs all up in my ear, I won't hear another sound

this was a very good write but what was the casualty from the passion. you never really said what it was. or maybe i didn't catch it. either way this was good. |
