Ring up your sailing shroud of disposition,
so to catch the winds of circumstance,
though the current is another matter,
one mustn’t ignore that by which they came.
as helpless a direction that may be,
the stars when seen may be of position,
to navigate a helping hand, rather,
than a pointing finger
by chance or that by which you may understand, you find the sun upon your face,
as it sets naturally from whence it came,
you must sense that all good and bad come to an end, only to come back again.
and thus is life, written by a man on the shore...

The cycles. This made me think of the shore out my window. Nice write. |
