I've been doing some thinking tonight
And I think about you
Your sweet face in your hands
Not wondering where I am
With a look so sweet
How could you be this mean
I love you most when you sleep
The past is nothing but a graveyard of your own regrets
Speaking would ruin this
Don't speak at all
Speaking leads to learning
And knowing it all
Knowing leads to lying
And will cause us to fall
I can see you
But you see nothing at all
I want to make you feel safe
And feel you're at home
I want to make you feel happy
And never alone
I'll kiss you when you sleep
So I won't disturb you
I'll say nothing at all
So I can never hurt you
Get your rest
You'll be tired of me later
You could put a bullet through my head
But the last thing to pass through me
WIll be a loving thought of you instead

The title of your poem caught my attention.
Your poem was very good up to your last thought--what's going on there?
I loved the line you wrote:

| Good word usage. I was trying to think if you were thinking of your loved one (significant other) when they sleep or a child? the meaning could be for both but i feel more to the significant other. good write-please keep it up. |
