Reminisce

Topic: LoveRemembered

Empty.
Cold and bare without you…
Emotions taking over me,
And I can’t fight back…
I am, once again, beaten…
These words spill through my pen with ebony blood,
And they waltz across the white plains…
Thoughts, never-ending…
Contemplating on how to deal with this,
This seemingly endless time without you, my love…
Tears of anguish flow freely,
Pain mangles my heart…
And I lay here,
On this dusty bed…
Sleep hasn’t visited me yet,
Still hasn’t crooned me Her sweet lullaby,
Still hasn’t gently rock me into a world of surrealism, beauty, images, and of course,
An ocean of you…
I wish to drown in your splendor,
In your endless kisses and love…
Dark thoughts inhabit my fevered mind,
Horror strikes me hard with an iron fist…
I don’t want to go back!
Let your glorious light shroud the hideous darkness!
All those horrible things from the past,
Tearing, eating at me…
I know what I must do,
The ending is always the same….
Darkness always wins…
But there is something in me,
That makes me want to retaliate…
A spark that has never been in me…
And as I look deep inside myself,
I see you…
Heavenly, luminous, beautiful you…
I see myself in your eyes,
And this light in them,
This love that you feel for me,
Consumes me whole…
In a sea of your passion and devotion,
I am finally free…
Free of all the past sins I have committed…
Free of all the darkness…
I am boundless…
I am that bird in the sky…

This was a terrific poem. I like how it seemed so metaphorical. For example.."my pen with ebony blood...waltz across the white plains....an ocean of you." You're truelly talented....one of the most talented writers yet to cross my path in life. Please Keep Writing.... I look forward to so much more.
ALINA
p.s. Your message really gave my light and insight...thankyou.

Ahh...another beautiful poem from you. This piece is by far one of my favorite poems that I have read, yet. I hope you will write more.

Mason

ma chère fleur précieuse,
I read, re-read, and then read again these words. I close my eyes and picture a darkened stage. A woman in a simple, but elegant, white night shift. She speaks her soliloquy to hushed audience, in a voice that rises and falls in volume and tempo. She starts forlorn, becomes defiant, and finishes wistful. When she is through, to the thunderous applause of a standing audience she is lifted off stage rising into the scaffolding. Out of the light, and sight, but burned into my memory.

Another fantastic write, Steph

Nazmythian ~
