Heaven seems so close to me.
And hell is closer still.
The bloodshed will never stop,
Flowing from the tallest hill.
My eardrums ring with helpless cries,
And yet I cannot run,
To strengthen the weak and get them going,
But I know we'll never see the sun.
It has gone to another place,
A place no mortal could find.
It has passed to the other realm,
And we're not far behind.
Our minds grow ever darker,
But mine is ever more.
Very soon it will take over.
Leaving everyone on the floor.
You did not stay away and so,
The evil was unleashed.
It will never in your lifetime end,
Never will it cease.
Why do you cry,
With tears of red?
Wake up, wake up!
You were fast asleep in your bed,
Dreaming of a darker day,
Nightmares of a darker kind.
The sun is not far away.
It did not leave to hide.
