Try to understand,
That I did it because I love you.
Try to understand,
That I did it because I care.
I don’t want to lose you,
But I turn around and you’re not there,
Just shadows on the wall,
How did I ever love you at all?
You ghost still haunts me,
The memories won’t leave me alone.
Why can’t you see?
This bird has flown.

There’s nothing here,
And I’m not sure that there ever was,
But now I have to adhere,
And try to understand because,
You’re not coming back,
And you never ever will.
