Can I Win

Contributed by pixie on Tuesday, 7th September 2004 @ 10:03:24 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Can I ever really win?
Not knowing even where to begin,
One day I’m stood fighting fit,
Next day I’ll be at the bottom of a pit.

Will I have the strength to carry on?
When all my fears have been & gone,
Or will I become an empty shell,
Suffering another kind of hell.

Who will end up victorious at the end?
With no commiserations to send,
Can I really do what is in my heart,
Is it possible to finish what I start.

After the battle has been fought,
Who will walk from this blood sport,
Will it be me or will it be my past,
Who will have a shadow to cast?

My battle has been on going for years,
I never win or so it appears,
It is I who feels totally defeated,
After having whole heartedly competed.

I can honestly say I will give it my all,
Let’s just hope I don’t stand to fall,
My opponent is not that of weak soul,
To destroy me entirely is their goal.

The power lies deep within me,
Now it is time to set it free,
I wish to annihilate what is in my path,
But who will have the last laugh?

Never give up. She who laughs, lasts. We all have our demons to battle. I believe with all my heart that with God's help they can be conquered. Praying for you.

Appointments and bad news, good news, maters not......what maters most is the news from within.......and the light that never ceases to stop.

Always look from within, always seek the within in others first.

Thank you for sharing.

Chris

Good for you, Krissy. Just remember that you alone have the power to defeat this. Nothing can destroy your life that you do not allow to. I am so proud of you. Keep on pushing forward.
