Whom We Elect

Whom We Elect
~~~
Whom we elect has never been more important
In this state of the world, evil comes acourtin
I’m worry for my son, your son or daughter
If you don’t agree, don’t read any further
But if you’re still here, Then I know that you care
So let me start by clearing the air
What happen in Russia just the other day
Could happen here, if terrorist had their way
The reason it hasn’t is because they’re on the run
By attacking them first in the places they’re from
Strong leadership is a must in these days
Lack of defense won’t keep evil away
Battles raged for freedom sake
Can never be wrong no matter what your take
To have a presidential candidate who is weak on defense
And who wobbles back on forth from each side of the fence
Could never protect a country like ours
No matter how much we wishes on the stars
So please, before you cast your vote think as wise as you can
On which President would do a better job at making a stand
Never has it been more important of a time
To stand for your beliefs in the elections line
I feel voteing is not as importaunt as you really think it is....i may only be a 17 yearold kid and i dont really understand how the system works. But if our votes really did count then Bush would never be in office right now, Gore had more votes from people like you in 2002 and yet Bush still recived office, because its not our votes that count in the long run so why bother. IM not saying bush is a good president or a bad one all im saying is the peoples votes not matter. (sorry if I sabotaged the meaning of your poem it was not my intentions)
