Droplets

Contributed by megan on Sunday, 5th September 2004 @ 10:13:20 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I wrote something earlier
I let it sit out in the rain
to see if it would wash away
the droplets fall and splatter
on the ground
I can feel them fall all over me
as myself made raindrops
drip out of my eyes
while I watch the wetness
darken everything around me
the night has just began
all the civilized peoples day has just ended
as they climbed into be turn of the tv
lie down for a while to rest their heads
but me I'm outside
over coming my fear
of spending a hole night
alone and sad
I look at her picture
and cry at just the thought that
once I've gone and done it
When I've left this all behind
I will never get to see her smile again

You will always have your memories or good times and friendship. The people you love become part of who you are. Like you are a part of who I am.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
