Now that you’re gone
Nothings the same
Everything feels wrong
Life’s no longer a game
I don’t know why you went
But it’s so hard without you
My perspective is bent
I try but can’t seem to
I’m living alone now
Just me and my cat
And I don’t know how
I’m gonna live like that
I remember the good times
I’ve forgotten the worst
And these mediocre rhymes
Make me wanna curse
I can’t seem to express it
What I’m trying to say
Maybe I’m just obsessive
But it won’t go away
It’s something I can’t explain, feel that I’m missing
I’ve been kidnapped, taken away
It’s only your lips, I’ve dreamt of kissing
I only hope that someday
I’ll taste them again
In that unworldly place
If that happens and when
I’ll imagine your face
All bright with sunshine
Withheld in your smile
Your beauty all mine
It’s been worth it all the while
But till that time comes
My sky’s will be gray
And smiles will be refused when directed my way
And because you are gone, I will be in a daze
Forever amen, forever, always
