i close my eyes,
i see an image...a man,
a man of no beauty, no hope, no destiny,
darkness clouds him, he screams, mourns,
frets within his dark desires.
desires of death, death to his soul, his soul of everlasting hoplessness.
i open my eyes, and a reflection astonishes me,
a man of no face, no color, silent and still, kills my hope, my dreams.

I wonder if there are perhaps a likeness in here for a lot of the poets on YPDC, for more and more I see a reflection of a loneliness and despair in poems herein this site...but I must admit I wallow in glee in such a darksome environment for mayhaps self-pity begets self-pity. But that aside once again you have put together simple words into a powerul package of a vivid description of these more darker moments. I like the lilt and gists of meanings if not the unstructured scaffoldings of your writes. But perhaps therein lies the beauty of such imploring calls to despair. Nice write! |
