Losing Interest in Being Here

Contributed by pyrofungus on Saturday, 4th September 2004 @ 02:23:20 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Me as a person
That is not really here
This person that I am
Can’t be the same
This heart that I have forgives to many
This mind that I carry inside my skull
Is losing interest in being here
My body grows weaker each day that passes
Less and less words I speak aloud
Sleep is a never-ending fight
That I battle each and every night
One that I seem to always loose
Even my tears can’t put me to sleep
They make me weaker
Drawing my weaknesses to the surface
They’re starting to show
And I’m slowly shutting down
Losing my interests
Making me become a person that I am not
A person with nothing
A person with no one…

Each night I try to sleep, each thought keeps me awake, every sound of my soul, stirs the pot, the caldron of spirits past, present, and future. I lie awake, and then up I rise, down the mountain and to my suprise......to read a thought, a rhyme, a minute in time....of just such a person as you.

Thank you for sharing this write.

some things change, and some things never do. everyone has weaknesses, they just have to work on them to make them their strong points.

Dear Summer,
I loved the comment you left on my CHILDBIRTH! And if you want solve your "Blues" forever, you are headed in he right direction dear. "For Those who bring sunshine into the lifes of others cannot keep it from themselves!" You reached out (forgetting yourself) and brought pleasure to me......a sure way!!!
Keep doing it, help others and make them happy......and before you know it you will be happy too!
Beautifully written poem......I detect much talent in it.
So sorry I've missed you before......best keep commenting......you'll get lots or responses.....try VenKat.....he's wonderful for responding.....and so many many more!
Poetic hugs and warm love

Summer,
This one brought me to tears. I hope you are just writing and not feeling this way. NEVER give up. Things do change. I posted a piece called I Have A Little Story Here....I do know this pain. Please talk to me or anyone you wish........just talk.
Excellent write,
Sharon;)
