The walls are closing in,
This room is too small,
Trapped inside my jail cell,
Don’t let me fall.
Waiting for the verdict,
Don’t know what to do.
I sit and cry,
And think of you.
I don’t want to die in here,
But I will if they don’t let me out,
I scream for freedom,
But no one hears my shouts.
I throw myself against the wall,
I bang my wrists until they bleed,
Maybe if I hurt myself,
They will see my need.
My need to live,
My need to escape,
My need to survive,
And not crumble and break.
