MY COMFORTABLE COTTAGE

"MY COMFORTABLE COTTAGE"

I am at last, at home in myself!
No longer a stranger in oneself.
I know who I am, and I'm aware.....
Like an old shoe, comfortable with wear!

A rhyming poem, in harmony
If I see an error, I correct daily.
The same feeling as you approach home
Be it ever so old, welcoming, no longer roam!

At peace with my Creator.
At peace with me, safe harbor
At peace with my surroundings
At peace no longer unfilled longings!

To mine own heart contentment.
Secure satisfaction, no longer transient!
My cup truly runneth over, no emptiness!
Self-sufficient, without worry n'er anxious.....

'Tis true these are the "Golden Years!"
Facing life head on, alleviates fears!
Builds character more precious than gold.
True to oneself, completed mould.

Priorities practiced-- top placement
Finally, no fear of man, gallant!
What can anyone do to me?
It's all been done, I made it home free!
Secure in my Comfortable Cottage--Me.

Learning to love the person in the mirror comes with wisdom doesn't it? If you love yourself, accept yourself there is no better feeling. Is there?

The picture was lovely & dreamy. The poem was beautiful Consue.

I wonder what type of house I am building. I can only hope it is a comfy cottage of contentment. (Say that 4 times and it becomes a tongue twister)

Thank you for sharing this.

Kie

Oh Connie, once again magnificent words,
Be it ever so humble
Where ever you rome
If you are your cottage
There's no place like home

The painting reminds me of Kinkaid..the lights..it must be nice to be content within yourself. Hope I can reach that someday. Like Ghandi..or so he said. I want to be at peace with myself, instead I am at war...I'm so happy that you have reached this point...and share it with all of us. Mary.

It is a long road to get there, but truly a wonderful place to be. This is an inspiring write, hopefully, to those who still doubt themselves and their beliefts.

Love,
Rita
