Out of Touch

Contributed by Gemini on Friday, 3rd September 2004 @ 12:07:03 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

You've engulfed the essence of my routine thoughts.
You've unknowingly tangled my brain and heart.
For your presence is the only answer for starts.
My eyes must view that mysterious smile.
Not knowing when the show will come-may mingle my thoughts a while.
For it is you, the unknown path for my hearts travel.
The sense of touch, fingertips unravel.
Breathe, caressing, slithering, my hair rises.
The hearts race as blood travels to new horizons.
Blood forms the hard beginning.
This longed awaited ceremony.
The tears fall and taste sweet.
The sounds roar and ring.
The voices traveling.
The new ritual has ended, the brain suspended.
What does one make of such an intense enterprise?
What are the new thoughts?
Are they despising?
The eyes meet again.
Hands intertwine after legs.
Two breaths appear as one.
The new web as been spun.

I thought this was excellent. Ironically, you state that you wrote this at a rough point in your life and you were full of confusion; what I see is a great poem full of depth and realism. It is as you said, "You've engulfed the essence of my routine thoughts," and this write is anything but routine and ordinary...

You're cleverness with words, paints a picture for me to see. I thought it was excellent! Remember, the times of uncertainty in our lives are crucial and make us who we are. In this I saw just that--character!

Write it how it feels...
