Where it led me

Contributed by XxNights_ChildxX on Thursday, 2nd September 2004 @ 06:33:52 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Open your eyes, open your heart,
Don't ignore it, don't tear it apart,
Take a chance in life, be set free,
Do something different, come be with me,
I'll never let you down, never let you fall,
I'd give you the world ,if I could I'd give it all,
I will hold you in my arms, safe from the world,
Blocking out everything negative, this one girl,
This girl who'd give everything up, just for you,
She would never lie, and never be untrue,
I accept all your flaws, I love everything you are,
But seeing your turn away, has given me this scar,
My heart has been wounded, like many times before,
But this time it's different, this time it's just a little more,
I really thought you cared about me, when you held me in your arms,
I felt completely safe, away from the outside and away from harm,
As you brushed your fingertips across my lips, to settle me down,
I could feel the connections, flowing all around,
You can't tell me that it wasn't love, or was it just a game to you?
Did you want to make me think something, something that was untrue?
Ive told you that I love you, but you just either shrug or say the same,
Why do I sense that your not telling the truth, are you ashamed?
Im sorry if I did anything to make you pull away,
I still love you and I wish that there could be some way,
So could you tell me please, what exactly are you thinking?
Im sitting her waiting for an answer, and Im slowly sinking,
If you dont love me, then there couldn't be a chance,
Just please tell me for God sakes, so I can just advance,
I can move on with my life, though the pain is strong,
Ive always made it before, when i felt that I didnt belong,
Sure it takes a while, for my broken heart to heal,
For the pain to dissapear, the pain that is so real,
So I will end off with saying, listen to your heart, follow it and be true,
Because thats just what I did and it led me right to you.
