Shattered Song

Contributed by Rae on Thursday, 2nd September 2004 @ 11:45:25 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

incenses, thoughtless suicide.
they randomly sold their souls.
give back honesty,
give back innocence.
but it's a new world now.
pull over.
let's wade for a while
in the Pond by the Sidewalk,
and lay on this bed of rocks.
and you climb four staircases for me
and throw your belt away.
i pass by this door and to
the dark alley where it might've happened.
but a Teacher walks past us,
and we pull each other's eyes away.
i sighed and cried.
you walked back to your Throne.
behind you, walls were closed.
you breathed out all the air from my mouth.
you gathered all your Spies and told them to stop.
Why give up now, Master?
you know the moon is up again and the halo is forming...
i forgot my Umbrella for a Moment.
so why follow your conscience now?!
i dressed in a long red Kimono for you.
why not take it off me?
a shock ran to my tips, fingertips, from the end of my hair.
i take off my shoes and give you a smile.
my wrists are locked and my ankles are slitted.
why not take this careless moment?
like standing on the ledge and
looking down 30 feet below,
like grabbing the collar of my shirt and
holding me close?
like hearing the sirens go off?
Silent Reservoirs are made for me.
and we step on cold waters everyday.
why not feel the warmth and be true?
to knock over the chairs,
to walk past movies and songs,
to deafen self from reality.
why not go back to the 19th of January, My Love?!
you're blessed. i'm damned.
and we meet ten years from now
by the same Sidewalk and stop in the crowd.
and you'll say you've made a vow,
and i'll say i have always.
but your vow wouldn't be for me.
but still, i need your touch, your breath.
not too much. just enough to kill me.
just enought to change your mind.
enough.
and then you'll blind me
and i wish you'll be, too.
