Time Spent

How many times an hour is torn across,
And burned for the sake of going on living?
With each hour another choice,
To change our future's past.
How many hours are spent in decision?
Pondering the left from right.
To decide to which side one should rise,
Can consume an entire morning.
How long we wait for one's arrival;
Fall to Spring, Summer to Autumn's door,
Or for a car with Chinese takeout to park itself in the driveway?
How many hours are wasted in insignificance,
And how many more hours will expire before life's end?

My young friend...no time waiting for Chinese food is ever wasted. Relax. You remind me of an old Billy Joel song about Vienna. You have so much life ahead of you. Enjoy what He has given you. Cherish each moment, but don't feel the ones you spend making decisions or waiting for pizza are wasted.

Yeah Stitch...you're right...you always are. What can I say...it was 4:30 in the morning, I, obviously was not sleeping for the 8th night in a row...and I was damn ***** off about it. But anyways, yeah my poetry sucks lately. I have writers block times a trillion gazillion. |
