Standing on the last great eclipse of the world,
I watch as the Earth emerges from it's cocoon.
The rebirth causes an upset in power.
Time stands still,
As the Dynasty collapses.
The candle light settles into the night,
Where the shadows and people collide.
A rose whispers of an unfufilled love,
As the moon softly cuts into the sky.
Silently the rain comes down,
On a dreary and drunken road.
Wearily I walk alone,
As the rain burns into my skin.
Embrace me, Embrace love, Embrace me.
Do not leave me here under the willow,
Like petals crushed underfoot.
I will stay here,
Waiting for you.
Until the winter comes
And I am buried in the snow.
Until the mourning spring
Covers me in dew.
And in the fall
When the wind whispers to me........of you.

Interesting ... I never would have guessed a ninja couple ... I was picturing a grieving person weeping before a grave stone .... but oh well .... A fabulous write with strong emotion, and vivid imagery, I liked that.

Dane, I loved this. It's one of those poems that captivate you and keep
you spellbound to the end. Wonderfully descriptive and such tortured
rapture. I absolutely LOVE the last line.

| This poem is just so calming and draws you right into it. It reminded me of the movie Willow Park I think its called, the image of someone waiting for a love to return. |
