We Are Lovers

Contributed by Merry on Wednesday, 1st September 2004 @ 06:11:42 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Fast falling into something like space
Without a net – just your arms
Ready to catch me – if I stumble
Falling in love
There’s an awkward moment
Just before it is said
Wondering what’s your reaction
Did I say too much and then
Could I hide it much longer
Feelings running like water
Down to the sea – destiny
Calls us to what we might be
Your name in my mouth is sweeter
Tasting of possibility
Each moment a gift in the dream
We share air and sun
Celebrating touch just out of reach
Bursting with glorious imagination
We are lovers....

I remember the words "I love you" coming unbidden from my mouth.. and having the feeling of panic..did I say too much..should I have kept it in my locked trunk?

wonderful again, as usual..
