''SOFT'' REPUBLICANS?

You think they're fooling anyone
With this “softer” Republican schtick?
Perhaps they mean soft in the head
Well at least THAT reputation would stick!
Looking for the floating voter
Fishing with a rod and line
The Republicans are desperate
To give them a dishonest sign
“Hey look, you can really TRUST us!
We are not so VERY bad…
We want to sell you a lie
Does that make us truly sad…?”
Well no, at least you are CONSISTENT
You are lying bastards all
So some WILL be persuaded
And into lying hands will fall
But most will hear your words
And see right through this trick
The “touchy-feely Republicans”
They'll laugh until they're sick
See the two-faced smiling men
See their wide open welcoming arms
“Come, let us fool you
Let us win you with our charms!”
And after the election is over?
What then for these warm old frauds?
Then? Well then you can forget it
To lying cynics’ loud appluse

Interesting write again, Steel.
I jumped on your bandwagon, as requested, and found those persons you spoke of quite detestable, repugnant, immature, offensive, baroque, acenine and puerile, to name but a few descriptors. Needless to say they insulted me (as you probably have already read for yourself) at the earliest opportunity in a fashion which I believe is unacceptable.
Anyway - I intend to personalize it, if needs be. No-one insults my expressionism and carries a reputation intact. |

I can identify with your views on this particular topic. I also feel that Republicans, (Conservative Republicians especially) simply make the rich richer, and the poor poorer. While lying to the public in the process. Good write. |
