Bunker Of Solitude

Grief
|
Hide within my bunker
Behind this pallid concrete wall
To shield myself from the bullets
That haunt me worse than memories
The maddening pounding of shots fired
Thousands of insults trying to breech
This tattered barrier I constructed
Hoping to stay out the way
Wanting to stay here in my dream world
A place where I don't suffer as I do here
But knowing that this one safe place I hide
Will soon be filled full of my lonely tears

I SO know exactly how you feel. More and more I just want to curl up and hide from the world in my own secret little place in my mind. Too bad life never wants to let me. *hugs*,
