It Was that night
When everything seemed to right
That i began to see
What you can really be.
You opened up
Spilled out like water from a sippy cup.
It ws surprising and yet entergizing
It made me think
And even recongize
That you are not who you appear
But if you look into your heart
It all seems so clear
After that moment
I had nothing to fear
It was like everything changed
The mind got rearranged
With the way I thought
Who you are was sought
In this.... My heart got caught
Not in love, Not in lust
But somewhere in the dust
I've reached out to see whats there
Maybe even be the perfect pair.
So if I brush awya the sand
Will you reach out for my hand?
Will you take me away?

What better way is there to reflect romance if not the title 'That Night'. I see that you're a romantic poet. I love this piece and really appreciate your work :-) Great poem! |
