Life is a disease that only Death can cure
Life is the enemy, who only Death can vanquish
Two battling families from Romeo and Juliet
Feuding so violently the pain seeps into us
Their screaming that I hear inside my head
Is enough, that I don’t want to be a part of them
I don’t want to be a part of the never-ending battle
That neither one will win
Even the almighty Death that so many seek
Is not satiated by ripping people away from their roots
In life’s garden
Neither world appeals to me
Now that I know what they really are
So a compromise must be made
But they have given up on me
Like everyone else
But Death pauses to listen
