I wish that I could hold you
and say such poetic words
to melt your soul in with mine
but alas they go unheard
I wish that I could sing to you
or play your favorite tune
to lull you and make you stay with me
you always seem to leave to soon
I wish that I could paint you a world
perfect for you and me
with all your favorite things there
but my work you cannot see
I wish that you could see me
and all these things I do
i'm only trying to show
that I’m in love with you

this is a lovely warm piece of writing although the person you write about shows neglect, the writer is so full of love its a joy to read.
Your ideas for the poems progression are brillent - painting a world for someone is a cool idea... |
