Feel him still

Feel him still
Second skin
A girl's dream
However much it's aged.
He flew the nest
Tested skies with wings
Broken in
Like organs that are
Out.
He figured how to spread
And words like love
Could melt before the sun did
He could move the earth
And there, he said
It's too beautiful
It's everything
But nothing without
And to allow an indescrible
Now leaves lost.
He forged and forced
To make a distance more
He just stopped when
Dead silence
And less than effort had to give
Let it fall at these feet
Push the boat out
To try to pull him close
Anchored in an emotion
Or two
Like he felt once
And was
Is still.
He slips over and into
A girl's dreram
Just wish I knew how
To make a man of him
To grow with
Because I feel him still
But out.
