Dark Waters

Topic: DarkPoetry

Dark Waters

The dark waves flood over my dying soul
Devouring my empty shattered heart
I can feel the cold breeze stealing my last breath
Breaking my body of hope and strength
As I let myself fall to the mercy of the ocean

The Goddess of light above desperately reaches for me
But the black water is stronger than her light
Causing dark clouds to cover my last dying hope
Covering that heavenly eternal light that only she posses
As I give my mind, body, and soul to the sea

The blood red sun sinks into the night
Bringing power and life to the dark endless sky
Yet there is light to be seen in the brilliant heavens
For the stars shine like the purest diamonds
As I drown into the hungry darkness

The full moons glow invites the morbid night
To dance with its ire music that forms in its darkness
Giving life to all that is forever empty
Bringing evil power to the dark and lonely
As I melt into the silent dark waters

Wonderfully written although I found it to be somewhat sad. I felt a slight melancholy washing over me as I read. Good writing.
