One day while walking
down mullberry street
I decided to take off my shoes
and walk in bare feet.
The sun made the street
so very hot
that my feet started melting
and I wish they had not.
I quickly put my shoes back on
just before my toes were gone.
When I got home
I discovered bad news
when my toes dried up
they got stuck to the inside of my shoes.
I pulled and i tugged
I even tried cutting them off with a knife,
but it looks like im stuck wearing sneakers
for the rest of my life.
