This girl called Rosie is wants to die.
And I don’t think much could change her mind.
Yet, still I do my job so she won’t jump off our multi-story car
park.
And she’d see her life is precious if only she’d come out of the dark…
Well, I’ve got to do my job,
Along with the rest of my team.
What lives in that girl’s head.
I never want to dream.
She said that I **** with her head,
When I stopped her the other day.
And so I had to call for back up,
So they could help me pull her away…
I asked her if she’d been drinking, and she said “no”,
But I knew she had, because it smelt in her breath and throat.
So she went off with our threat to leave the premises,
But I didn’t think she would, so I walked round just to check.
And indeed, I found her leaning against a concrete wall,
She watched me as I passed and I moved on feeling small.
But soon I turned round and went back to her,
She was holding her head, looking all hurt.
I told her to leave the premises only she wouldn’t go,
So we had a small argument yet she kept repeating “no”.
So I threatened to call uniform if she didn’t move on her way.
So she looked at me teary eyed,
And asked if I’d care if she put bullets through her brain…
She moved onwards a little, but not any more.
Then she stared at me and began cutting into her arm.
I watched her as she did this but I wouldn’t go near.
I just repeated to call uniform, if she didn’t disappear…
So she walked off round the corner completely out of sight.
And I stood there wondering if she was gonna be alright.
And then I heard someone screaming, a twisted and loud scream.
And I knew I had to do some thing, but I didn’t check to see if it was Rosie.
Instead I phoned the police, so they could sort her out.
I don’t know much about Rosie, but she really does need help…
So I just stood and waited until uniform arrived,
Ignoring the fact that Rosie could simply slit her wrist and make her-self die.
And she came out of her corner, only to stare at me,
But when she saw 2 coppers she turned and ran away…
And so we chased her and she ran down a dead end.
Then the police talked to her again and again.
Then they said that I could go and that they’d take it from there.
But she turned and faced me with really messed up hair.
And then for Jason, she gave me a note.
It was written in a poem, and about how she has no hope.
