CHIMERA
Natant dreams blend into wispy billow,
Winkers flicker heavy breathing from my pillow.
Across petty roads and into somber moors,
To peacefully rap at commoners doors.
Fallow deer at ease feeding,
On my chimera continue speeding.
Hurdling chimney tops flush with smoke,
Into herds of antelope that ran and broke.
Across seas and boosting swell,
Then my vision suddenly fell.
Into depths where idle motion swing,
Propelling rays effortlessly on sterling wing.
Corral gall dead souls in pain,
Never to reach the astral plain.
Past argent sharks intent on pray,
Glittering gape that seal and stray.
Breaking free of the sea I mold into the stars,
Buckles of wanton some seeming very far.
To face the moon its rays that swab,
It seemed dynamic was that a life giving throb?
Then my dreams are nursed back into the brain,
Fresh conceptions take hold to sift once again.
